Jose Rubio at age 36, was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer.
On January of 2014 he began his chemotherapy treatment. Jose is a
husband, father of three and a dear friend. He was an active member of his community. Over the past 10 years he volunteered in retirement homes, as well as speaking in local jails, hospitals and churches about the negative effects of drugs and alcohol and making better life choices. Jose’s passions
include his family, friends, music and fitness. Jose has been married for 17 years to his loving wife Silvia. It was important to him to spend quality time with his family and to be good role

model to his kids, Karen (16), Kevin (11), and Keily (8). Jose has fundraised to run and bike numerous races over the years, including Relay for Life and Bike MS. Music has always been a positive influence in Jose’s life. He has been known to bring together people from all walks of life through their shared love of
music. Many of the people that know Jose say “he is an inspiration” Jose has always taken the challenges in his own life and found a way to help others facing similar challenges.
Its been 4 years since Jose has been battling his Lung Cancer and his battle has ended .Jose loved seeing live music anytime any day. Jose was a big No Duh fan and with your help and support let’s make Rocking Out Cancer 2018 an amazing evening for Jose Rubio and his family.
